Soccer Development Program (SDP) @ TURFF CLUB
Rolling admission for classes that are not filled.
This innovative & professionalized program will cover all of your individual soccer development needs.
Programs will run once a week on Friday nights at the times listed below. Some programs are offered multiple times, however players only attend for the time at which they have registered.
All programs are for ages 7-14 unless otherwise noted.
Tuesdays: June 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 (6 week program)

SDP Footskills

The popular SDP Footskills program deals with all aspects of ball mastery and manipulation. Players will train to improve first touch, foot speed, separation from defenders, improvisation, and coordination. These skills are fundamental for all players regardless of age or playing position.

SDP Advanced Footskills
(Ages 10-14)

Advanced footskills is for premier level players ages 10-14 who are comfortable manipulating the ball with either foot. Players should also have the ability to use a variety of different touches to create space in game situations. This is a high level class geared toward the most competitive players in the 10-14 age range.

SDP Little Stars
(Ages 3-4 & 5-6)

A perfect introduction to group play and sports, SDP Little Stars is designed to introduce the game of soccer to the pre-school age child. Soccer professionals will focus on improving motor and social skills in a friendly and fun environment while teaching proper soccer techniques! PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE!
Players will be separated by age and ability to ensure that players receive appropriately differentiated instruction.

In the SDP Goalkeeping academy, goalkeeping professionals cover the basic skills and techniques any young keeper must master, such as shot stopping, footwork, reactions, diving, and more.

SDP Finishing School is the perfect training program for any young attacking player. FC LVU coaches will cover all aspects of finishing, including: close and long range finishing, finishing crosses, finishing after a diagonal run, and much more. Learn the keys to becoming a top scorer!

Programs are open to ALL players, regardless of club affiliation. All programs will be run indoors at the Turff Club.
SDP Staff:
SDP Director, Greg Ramos - Coach Ramos will be overseeing all aspects of the SDP program including training and curriculum design. Coach Ramos holds a UEFA A Coaching Diploma, is a Philadelphia Union Juniors staff coach, and serves as Executive Director of Soccer Operations at FC LVU.
SDP Assistant Director, Dave Robinson - Coach Robinson will be involved in all aspects of the SDP program including training and curriculum design. Coach Robinson holds a USSF A License, and was a former Eastern PA and Region I ODP Head Coach. At FC LVU, Coach Robinson serves as a Head Coach and Facilities Director.
SDP Director of Goalkeeping, Josh Menditch - Coach Menditch will be involved in all aspects of SDP Goalkeeping including curriculum design. A former Goalkeeper at Muhlenberg College, Coach Menditch graduated with a Degree in Education. He went on to earn his Masters Degree from Johns Hopkins University in Education Technology. Coach Menditch holds a NSCAA Level I, II, and III Goalkeeping Diploma, and serves as a Head Coach and Goalkeeper Coach at FC LVU.
SDP Footskill & Technique Specialist, Matt Baker - Coach Baker will be involved in SDP Footskill and technical training programs. A former LVU player, Coach Baker has played professionally for the USL’s Riverhounds, as well as multiple recent matches with the Philadelphia Union’s Reserve team. Coach Baker serves as FC LVU’s individual and small group training specialist at FC LVU.
SDP Footskill & Technical Staff Coach, Alberto Chavez - Coach Chavez will be involved in SDP Footskill and technical training programs. A former LVU player, Coach Chavez played with incredible skill, latin flair, and creativity. He seamlessly transfers his technical ability into his Footskill and technical sessions with young players. Coach Chavez took the LVU 01 Boys to a State Cup Finalist, and serves as a technical specialist at FC LVU.
SDP Academy Staff Coach, Matt Emmert - Coach Emmert will be involved in SDP small group tactics training programs and curriculum development. Coach Emmert holds a USSF A Coaching License, and currently Coaches for the Eastern PA Olympic Development Program. Coach Emmert serves as both a Boys and Girls Head Coach at FC LVU.
SDP Academy Staff Coach, Andy Adlard - Coach Adlard will be involved in all aspects of SDP programming. A former stand out and captain at Indiana University, Coach Adlard spent 2010/11 in the MLS with Columbus Crew. At FC LVU Coach Adlard will serve as Staff Coach, as well as use his skills as a former gymnast creating athletic development programs.

Goalkeeping Sessions Added
FC LVU is offering additional goalkeeping sessions for any interested players. FC LVU goalkeeper coaches Bob Pipech and Kyle Grim will be the lead instructors, along with two current club goalkeepers. Players may sign up for a 5 week session or for the entire 10 weeks. Keepers will be divided by gender and age/ability. This is for any keeper looking to improve their skills and their game-related decision making.
All sessions will be conducted at Iron Lakes on Saturdays in December.
Session I: 12/15, 12/22, 12/29, 1/5, 1/12
Session II: 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/2 (makeup if needed)
Instructors: Bob Pipech & Kyle Grim, plus 2 junior instructors
Pricing: One 5 week session for $130. Two 5 week sessions for $240
