LVU NAMED TOP 20 CLUB IN THE NATION
NationalSoccerRankings.com has honored Lehigh Valley United by ranking it #20 in the entire country on its list of top Boys Clubs in the United States for 2009
This is an amazing accomplishment, but well deserved as we now have 3 boys team ranked #1 in PA and a total of 5 teams (out of a total of 7 possible age groups) in the top 10 in the state.
LVU National NSR Rankings!
Congratulations to the following teams for being recognized by National Soccer Ranking as top 10 teams in PA at their age groups.
We also feature to teams that are ranked in the TOP 20 Regionally and NATIONALLY!
As of January 2011:
  • The UNITED ’91 Boys, ranked 6th in Pennsylvania and 34th in the region
  • The UNITED ’94 Boys, ranked 10th in Pennsylvania
  • The UNITED ’95 Boys, ranked 1st in Pennsylvania, 1st in the region and 4th in the nation.
  • The UNITED ’96 Boys, ranked 1st in the state4th in the region and 14th in the nation.
  • The UNITED ’97 Boys, ranked 1st in the state1st in the region and 6th in the nation.
  • The UNITED ’96 Girls, ranked 3rd in the state, 11th in the region and 49th in the nation

NATIONAL POOL PLAYERS
Identification at the national level is the highest recognition a youth soccer player can achieve in the U.S.
We congratulate the following players for being identified through the LVU system.
CAMERON KEYS, UNITED ’96
 Cameron Keys was identified at ODP regional camp at Rider University IN 2010.  Cameron’s performance lead him to bypass regional team and go straight to the national team pool for players born in 1997.  Keys attended National Camp in Massachussetts over the first week in August, 2010.  He participated in the  U14 inter-regional even in Florida in 2010, international trip to Mexico in 2011 and all camps in 2011.  Cameron is LVU’s first goalkeeper to be selected for this honor. 
NOAH SNYDER, UNITED ’96
Noah Snyder has been captain of the UNITED ’96 team since 2009   Snyder, known for his competitive spirit, leadership and athleticism, caught the attention of U14 National Team coach, Manny Schellscheidt and was included in the 36 man roster that participated in an interregional event in Disney in November, 2009.   Click here for the article from US Soccer
NICK HUTCHINSON, UNITED ’93
Congratulations to Nick Hutchinson for being identified to participate as a member of the National ODP pool in 2008. While ! Nick was identified at the Regional camp this past summer and had playied up an age group with the LVU ’93 team from 2006-2008. Nick’s success is a testimony to the LVU way - great skills and athletic ability in a player that works hard and plays with an understanding of the game.
Former LVU Players Look Professional
Former LVU player, Adam Welch, a Bethlehem native and 4 year starter at Lehigh was selected by N.E. Revolution in the 4th round of the MLS Draft. 
Another alumnist and Central Catholic star, Matt Baker is still competing for a roster spot with the Philadelphia Union, the newest franchise of the MLS.  Outstanding accomplishment as these former "stars" look toward professional careers.
LVU Coaches Recieve Regional Coach of the Year Honors
Two Coaches from Lehigh Valley United have received national recognition from the NSCAA.
Greg Ramos, director of coaching and head coach of UNITED ’91, ’95 and ’96 has been named the East Regional Coach of the year
Chris Bleam, head coach at Parkland High School and Lehigh Valley Uniteds ’98 Girls team was named Soccer Coach of the Year by the Morning Call and also named Coach of the Year for the NSCAA Region II Large School and Pennsylvania State Coaches Association Class 3A. 
Congratulations Greg and Chris on these outstanding accomplishments!

ID2 Recognition
The ID2 Regional Training Camps bring together the nation’s top youth players for four days of competition and evaluation. Players are identified to participate in the id2 Regional Training Camps as a result of a yearlong scouting program.
 
In 2010, 3 players participated in ID2 camp.  Cameron Keys, Garrett Keys and Cameron Sheeva all participated.
 
In 2009, Cameron Keys was identified to particapet in the US Soccer Regional ID2 Camp.  As a ’97 player playing amongst ’96 players, Keys earned the top keeper position by the end of the camp.
 
In 2008,Shaun Quinn was identified to participate in US Soccer Youth Development Program as an invitee to the Regional ID2 Training Camp. This is a prestigious event and only the top 68 boys and 38 girls are invited to attend.
 
Paige Jones of the '97 Girls, Selected to Play Internationally
 
Paige Jones,  a member of the girls UNITED ’97 team, has been selected by 365 Sports to participate in the Gothia Cup, a prestigious international tournament in  in Sweden.  We congratulate Paige on this outstanding accomplishment and her dedication to her sport.  This also shows another example of the commitment that LVU has to player development.
