LVU Prominent in 2008/09 ODP Pool

We are happy to announce that there currently 42 LVU players that have qualified for indoor training for the state ODP team.  While not all teams are finalized, making it to this stage of the process is a great credit to the players and coaches involved.  Having this many players participating in the program is a testament to the quality training that is being provided at LVU.

Lou Ramos Classic is a huge success
Thanks to all who helped out with this event to make it a HUGE success in our first year as the "Lou." Feedback from parents and coaches has been overwhelmingly positive and we are proud of both kids and parents for making this truly a "UNITED" event.

Here are some of the comments that we have seen:

"The facility is terrific and the tournament was well organized." Head Coach, Somerset Hills, NJ
"Great job on the tournament. Your efforts certainly did show because it was very well run." Tournament Director, Warrington, PA
"I was very impressed with the facilities, management of the event and more importantly, the people." Quakertown Soccer Club
"Well run tournament." NJ Youth Soccer Forum

With a few lessons learned we think we can make next year an even bigger and better event!
Special thanks to Molly and Gina for putting in countless hours in leading the direction of the tournament. Also special thanks to the entire event committee for their time and commitment to getting this done the right way. Your dedication and pursuit of excellence showed in every way, from concesssions to clothing, field prep to parking, volunteer coordination to venue set up. You were all simply amazing.

Both boys and girls had great weekends over Labor Day at their home fields. The boys brought home championships at 2 of the 4 full sided age groups (U11 Premier, U12 Elite) and were finalists at U13 Elite losing a tough match to Den of Lions (NJ), one of the most highly regarded teams in the country! On the girls side, we saw 3 CHAMPIONS in the 7 available age groups. The ’96 and ’95 girls won their age groups and the LV Xtreme took the U17 one day round robin. Congratulations to these teams for their accomplishments.
