LVU WINTER SELECT SUMMARY
LVU coaching staff and administration would like to thank all of our Winter Select participants. We appreciate the dedication on the part of parents in getting their players to training and the tremendous effort of the players on the field. LVU staff is confident that every player has made great strides over the months of training and will demonstrate their improvements on the soccer field this spring. If you wish for individual feedback on your player, please do not hesitate to touch base with your player’s coach after one of the remaining sessions. The Winter Select Program will officially conclude the weekend of February 27 & 28, however there are additional training opportunities as presented below.
ADDITIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
FREE Pre-Tryout and Training Opportunity for Future and Current LVU Players! For those players interested in joining LVU in a more formal way, please join us Saturdays, March 6 and March 13 at The Turff Club. Players and parents can meet LVU coaches at their age groups, as well as current and potential new players at their age group, at no cost. Players MUST be pre-registered for tryouts to participate in this program. Please rsvp to info@lehighvalleyunited.com if you plan to participate.

U9 Girls from 6:15-7:30pm and U10 Girls from 7:30-8:45pm
**Current U8 girls: Tryouts for 2010-2011 U9 Girls team will also be on March 6 & 13, please see the Tryouts page for full update.
Anyone interested in trying out for these teams is welcome to attend these FREE sessions. Please invite other interested players at these age groups.

The LVU Select Program provides players in the Lehigh Valley a high quality youth soccer development program FREE OF COST. The focus of the program is on developing INDIVIDUAL skills and technique and is for players aged 7-12, the "golden years" of youth development and learning.
LVU Select is designed to showcase Lehigh Valley United’s exceptional coaching staff and teaching methods during these crucial years of growth and development in younger players. The program is led by Greg Ramos, LVU’s Executive Director of Operations. Greg Ramos is one of the top certified coaches in the region with an UEFA "A" License and USSF "A" License.
In addition, Coach Ramos has recently been named to the YSC UNION JUNIORS Coaching Staff and will serve as a YSC UNION JUNIORS Selection Committee Member. According to Ramos, “MLS soccer finally coming to Eastern Pennsylvania makes it realistic for those young soccer players in the Lehigh Valley, who dream of playing professional soccer, to do so. Lehigh Valley United’s relationship with the YSC Union Juniors will help youth players in the Lehigh Valley along the path to realizing that dream.”
Certain players participating in LVU Select may be identified to participate in YSC UNION JUNIORS, in conjunction with The Philadelpha Union Youth Identification Sessions.
ABOUT YSC UNION JUNIORS: Philadelphia’s new Major League Soccer (MLS) team, Philadelphia Union has named YSC Academy as its Official Youth Development Partner. YSC Academy and Philadelphia Union are offering YSC Union Juniors as a FREE OF COST training program for both boys and girls born in the following birth years: 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997. Philadelphia Union have partnered with YSC to provide a high-level youth development program modeled after professional youth academies abroad. The objective is to identify and nurture talented young players in the region and provide them high-level, supplemental, training designed to complement and support the efforts of their club teams and coaches.
