Alberto Chavez, a Mexican American, who began his U.S. playing career with Allentown Youth Soccer Association and Allen High School, first joined LVU as a player in 2003.  "The first time I saw Alberto Play for Allen, I knew he was a master technician with the ball, and that he would be a special player for LVU," says Executive Director of Soccer Operations at LVU, Greg Ramos.  Alberto was a 1st team all conference player and honor student at Allen High School as well as participating on Eastern Pennsylvania’s Olympic Development Team.  Alberto’s LVU 87 team twice finished PA outdoor cup finalist. "Alberto was a great player for LVU, and I’m thrilled we will have him on our coaching staff to help our club’s efforts in the Allentown community.  According to Ramos, "Alberto’s roots run deep in Allentown, and he will help LVU build a unique relationship with the city."
