Billed as the "World Cup for Boys Youth Soccer" Mundialito in Portugal brings teams from all over the world in one of the largest global youth soccer tournaments. Some of the best teams in the world compete here each year including youth clubs this year from Everton, AC Milan, FC Porto, Benfica, Stuttgart, FC America, Ajax, Real Beatis, Sporting Lisbon, Glasgow Rangers along with teams from 6 continents.
After playing AC Milan very tough, the LVU team finished with a tough loss but drew praise from Milan coaches and parents for our level off skill, game play and toughness. LVU finished as a semi-finalist with a respectable 7-3 record over 5 days and the boys bring home great memories including playing against some of the best players in Portugal, Italy, Venezuela, and Spain.
