Pink Socks for Breast Cancer Awareness

LVU is proud to announce our donation from our Pink Socks for Breast Cancer awareness in the amount of $430.27 will go to Danielle Cavanaugh.

The Cavanaugh family lives in Mountain Top, PA.  Tom is employed with Safety Kleen and Danielle is employed with ReBath Northeast.  Tom and Danielle have two daughters, Morgan age 17 is a junior at Crestwood High School.  Jacklyn age 13 is in 8th grade at Crestwood Middle School.  Both daughters have been actively involved in sports since an early age, Morgan with cheerleading and lacrosse, and Jacklyn with soccer and field hockey.  Jacklyn was a member of the LVU Girls 00 team for the fall 2013 season.

Danielle has been battling breast cancer for many many years.  She has been in remission only a few short times during her battle.  The daughters have been supporting their mom in her battle since they were little girls.  They can hardly remember a time when their mom was not battling cancer.   Danielle's strong positive attitude and the support of her wonderful family and friends has helped her in her fight.  The Cavanaugh family is avidly involved in the fight against cancer, doing numerous fundraising events each and every year.

Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and support for Danielle as she continues her fight, and a huge thank you to Sydney Steere of the '00 Girls for nominating Danielle to be a beneficiary of the United Gives Back campaign and helping to coordinate the Pink Socks for Breast Cancer event.  Best of luck to the LVU 00 Girls and to all the LVU teams!
