2007

Club Founding

LVU is officially incorporated under the U.S. Youth Soccer Association umbrella and establishes Board, Administrative and Technical leadership.

State Cup Championships

LVU 95 wins the first of their 6 State Championships, and the first of the club’s 19 State Championships.

2008

First Lou Ramos Classic Tournament

Over 70 teams from PA & NJ participated in the inaugural year.  The tournament now has achieved International Status, and is the top ranked Labor Day tournament in the country.

2009

Founding of United Gives Back

LVU Staff and Players volunteer to run its first ever inner city clinic for Central Elementary School in Allentown. Since United Gives Back's inception, LVU players and families have had a tremendous impact on our community through countless volunteer hours, hundreds of donations to local homeless shelters, clothing closets, and food banks, as well as raising thousands of dollars in aid for different charitable organizations.

LVU National & International Begins

LVU 95 travels to Del Sol tournament in Arizona and the Gothia Cup in Sweden.  To date, teams have travelled to the prestigious national events such as Dallas Cup TX, Disney Showcase FL, Nomads CA, and International Events such as Mundialito in Portugal and return trips to Gothia Cup in Sweden.

Regional Championships

LVU 95 and LVU 97 win the first of 5 Regional Championships.

2010

Founding Member of EDP League

The Eastern Development Program (EDP) is founded.  LVU is a founding member and Core Club.

First U.S. Youth National Team/Pool Players

Nick Hutchinson, LVU 93, makes the U14 National Pool.  Nick is the first of 12 LVU players to have participated in the U.S. Youth National Team programs, including 4 who have taken part in U.S. Soccer Residency program in Bradenton FL.

First Professional Players

In 2010 the New England Revolution in the MLS Super Draft selects Adam Welch.  Matt Baker (Philadelphia Reserves, and Pittsburg Riverhounds) and Danny Barbir (Manchester City Youth Academy) also gain professional experience.

2011

LVU Acquires Indoor Soccer Facility, the Turff Club

LVU gains exclusive access to the Turff Club in Allentown, PA, a "game-changer" for LVU players and their development.

2012

Lehigh Valley United and FC Lehigh Consolidate Operations

With combined technical, facility and intellectual resources, FC Lehigh Valley United is able to provide even greater opportunities and pathways to its membership.

2013

First National Championship Victory

LVU 93 defeats Chicago Fire in the U19 McGuire Cup National Championship covered Live on Fox Soccer Channel. LVU members won the Golden Ball and Golden Glove award, as well as 5 members being selected for the "Best 11".

2014

Accepted member of US Soccer Development Academy

LVU is accepted into the U13/14 U.S. Development Academy, a U.S. Soccer initiative to develop top youth talent to one day represent the U.S. Men's National Team. Only 100 clubs have been selected to participate nationwide.

2015

The Lou Ramos Center Indoor & Futsal Facility Opens Its Doors

In addition to the artificial turf fields and futsal courts, Lehigh Valley United expands it's administrative and sports performance offices into it's new home at the LRC.

2016

LVU Signs Ground Breaking Partnership with St. Luke's

Lehigh Valley United establishes a unique partner with St. Luke's Health Services to add a full time Athletic Trainer to the club and provide top of the line sports performance training and assessment.

The Annual MLS Futsal Friendlies Begin at the LRC

The New York Red Bulls, Philadelphia Union, and New York City FC look forward to attending our new annual futsal friendlies.

2017

LVU Girls Program Breaks New Ground with First State Cup Championships

The LVU 02 and LVU 03 Girls team become the first Girls Teams in the club history to secure the coveted State Cup Championship.

2018

NCAA Division 1 Record of 9 LVU Players Play for Lehigh University's Men Team

A NCAA record number of club players (9) join the Lehigh University Varsity Men's Soccer team, including Division 1 All-American Mark Forrest!

LVU Alumni Mark Forrest is Drafted to the MLS Chicago Fire

Lehigh Valley United is proud to see graduate Mark Forrest drafted professionally to the MLS under the Chicago Fire, the third professional signing in the history of the club.

LVU Celebrates the 10th Annual Lou Ramos Classic

Lehigh Valley United is proud to continue the legacy of the Lou Ramos Classic reaching it's tenth year, and becoming the #1 Rated Labor Day Soccer Tournament in the Country! (GotSoccer)

2019

LVU Sets Record with 6 State Cup Championships in 2018-2019 Season

The LVU 03 Girls continues to distinguish itself with a third consecutive State Cup Victory in the 2018-2019 Season, while LVU will once again be represented at the National Championships by the LVU 00 Boys after winning their prestigious National League Division.

LVU Wins its Second National Title

LVU 2000 Boys Black defeated Balitmore Celtic, previous 2 time national championship winner 1-0 to win the McGuire Cup. This is the second time LVU has had a team compete for the McGuire Cup and won. Our previous McGuire Cup appearance was back in 2013 when we won our first National Championship.

2020

LVU Partners with Techne

During the quarantine period of COVID-19, LVU partners with Techne Futbol to provide a high-quality soccer training app to our players, allowing them continued development while not being able to practice as a team.
